Hot off the heels of an extremely successful event in Miami for Art Basel, The Athletes for Art Renaissance Tour invades New York City for NBA All-Star Weekend. Actor, Malik Yoba, NBA Orlando Magic Shooting Guard, Victor Oladipo, Actress/Musician Janina Gavankar & Recording Artist Mashonda Tifrere will host the evening.
On this unique, interactive evening, guests will be treated to live paintings, performance arts, culinary artistry and unique mixology. Former collegiate football player, Chris Nelson will be painting a vehicle live on premise. NFL Saint Louis Rams TE, Lance Kendricks alongside NBA Star, Jeremy Evans, Atlanta Falcons Rob McClain, former NBA star, Desmond Mason and many others will also lend their talent for the AART event, which will take place Thursday, February 12th at Manhattan Motorcars Showroom.
Ever since our inaugural event in Hollywood, California, AART has created a diverse atmosphere for athletes and entertainers, allowing for them to immerse themselves in art like never before. The last event in Miami was outstanding, now bringing this event to New York where the idea was born, I know it will be nothing short of memorable, says Jumoke Mendez, AART founder. In addition to the artsy festivities, a portion of the proceeds from the tour will be donated to the Smile Design Gallery, a gallery that merges art with the mission of providing dental treatment for people who need care.
